Work Transition Services (WTS)

If your employer is unable to take you back to work and you continue to be disabled, the WSIB will refer you to “Work Transition Services”.

Potential avenues for retraining during this phase may include (but are not limited) to the following:

  • Academic Upgrading
  • Training at a private vocational school
  • College and University level training programs

The goal of a selected program is to provide you with the skills in order to return you to a comparable wage which you were earning while with your accident employer at the time of your injury.

Under WSIB’s new training system approach we are quickly discovering that many of our clients are not being given sufficient or appropriate training to meet the needs of their selected new occupation.

Our worker clientele is repeatedly being rushed into “quick fix” training venues provided with very little or no training and are being expected to seek employment within a field which in many cases WSIB forced them into.

It is crucial that one of our experienced members manage your case file through Work Transition Services (WTS) in order to ensure that you the injured worker are given the proper school training before being asked to look for a job.

IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING ANY ISSUES WITH A WSIB WTS PROGRAM, CALL US TODAY.
